Corresponded via email with Celestron customer technical support group. I was told that we may see focal reducers for the Celestron Edge HD ota’s sometime Mid 2011 or later…. I hope Celestron comes through on the Edge HD focal reducer, looking forward to wider field of view along with faster optics.
I wanted to post a quick update on expected timeframe for the Focal Reducers for Celestron Edge HD OTA’s. I sent out for information from Celestron on expected release dates of the new Focal Reducers. I heard back that they expect to see them available to the public by Mid year 2010 June timeframe. I know many Edge owners have been eager to see the new Focal Reducers. This is only an anticipated timeframe nothing is set in stone, I am only relaying information. I hope we will see the new focal reducers soon. I know many imagers are eager to get their hands on them.
