DaltonSkyGazer is my personal web blog created to share my astronomy hobby with the rest of the world. My name is Jeff Turner and about 8 years ago I purchased my first real semi-professional grade telescope, a Meade 12″ GPS UHTC, thanks in great part to a friend who reeled me into the astronomy world.
I was always fascinated with astrophotography, and knew from day one I wanted to be able to capture images of the sky. Since I bought my first imagers, a Sac-8 ccd and Meade LPI imaging system, astrophotography equipment has greatly improved. I have invested in new gear this past year which will allow me to advance my own imaging capabilities to a new level. Many articles on DaltonSkyGazer will highlight the equipment and software used for astrophotography.
DaltonSkyGazer will serve as a peek into the astrophotography world as I learn and progress with my astrophotography skills. It will also serve as a peek into happenings at my private home observatory. Like so many others within the community, I wish to share my experiences and lessons to those just starting out and with the community alike. I hope you enjoy DaltonSkyGazer blog as I share my astrophotography experiences and all which encompasses it.
In the coming months many new articles will be coming to DaltonSkyGazer, I will be focusing much attention on improving the functionality and content of the website.
