It has been hectic schedule last few weeks at work and at home with the holidays.  I have been busy putting together some items for the upcoming observatory while also working on setting up some new gear for the CGEM along with some other projects with Ray Shore.

The latest additions to the CGEM include the side by side dovetail plate manufactured by ADM Accessories.  My initial thoughts are that this is a very well machined side by side setup and the weight comes in very low.  This will allow some versatile options on my OTA arrangements for imaging.  My biggest surprise was how well this arrangement balanced out in all three planes.  I have recently ordered a few items through ADM and remain impressed with their service and quality of the product.

With the cold weather and snow set in past few weeks I have been busy adding on some accessories for my imaging sessions.  Recent items added to my arsenal include Canon Xsi 450, Maxim DL 5.o Pro upgradeable with Maxpoint, Adobe CS3 Web design premium, Televue 4x powermate with t adapter, extra counterweights, several gear cases, and for visual a 13mm Ethos eyepiece.

The new OTA Edge800HD should be along any day this week.  I will be working on setting this up on mount and plan for several reviews with the new ota.  I will also grab a good backdrop so I can get some good images of the gear to share with CGEM forum.   I will have some reviews of the other gear as I get some time with the items.

I plan on taking many images and will work also with Ray Shore at having some more updates reviews on the CGEM and EDGE OTA.   Ray Shore of AstroPhotographyTonight has one of the only sites I have found who offers good reviews and updates on the CGEM.  In few weeks time we have become friends and are collaborating on offering more info for the CGEM users.

I look forward to sharing these reviews and images sometime in near future.  If I am lucky the weather will break and I can post some images.
